Dear Akita-Friends,
In the following we want to deliver insight into our Akita breeding, our dogs and our family.
This is my husband:

Our son Björn, who stands already on his own feet, is rarely a guest of our house. However there are two lovely she-dogs called “Eiri” and “Ajia-jin“ (her daugter) we live together with. A harmonious pride.

Our family lives in Alt Ruppin, in the North of Brandenburg (some kilometres away from Berlin) in a nature protection area.
Our house has got a little park and it’s surrounded by an idyllic pinewood.
That’s why we chose the name „Akamatsu no Mori“ (english: “from the pinewood”). We also got an international certification for this name. |

|
Animals, especially horses and dogs have always belonged to our life in different ways. Some years ago when our she-dog, a Great Dane died, we looked for a new capable companion. At random we got adverted to the Japanese Akita. In 2002 the 8 weeks old Akita she-dog “Donna” became a member of our family. We were very glad to have such a lovely dog. This small one exceeded all expectations. Unfortunately she came down with VKH and died when she was only 2 years old. However there was still the fascinating admiration of the Akita breed. Our Donna did a good job as we can say: “The Akita is an absorbing, confident, balanced dog, who owns an impressive beauty!!!”
 |
In 2005 we put up Eiri, a red-white coloured Japanese Akita. She visited a pet obedience school and several exhibitions – with success. |
In 2006 we organized an “Akita-Berlin-Brandenburg” regulars' table, where breeders and dog owners had the chance to compare their experiences and present their knowledge about dogs in terms of practices and talks.
As we spend a lot of time together our passion for the Akita gets bigger aswell. Several conditions necessary for breeding you will find fulfilled.
 |
In summer 2008 Eiri gave birth to 10 healthy and gorgeous puppies. It has been a wonderful and great experience. On the other hand I don`t want to keep quiet about the effort, time and work linked with the education and nursing of the puppies.
| We decided to keep a second Akita, a red-white coloured she-dog of the litter called Ajia-jin, our little Asian. There have been no regrets with regard to this decision. Over and over it’s a pleasure to watch mother and daughter playing and to study their behaviour in everyday life. |

|
By the way our dogs aren’t used to spend their day in a kennel. They live as proper family members in our house. The Akita is characterized by an imperturbable fidelity and always wants to be surrounded by his pack.…..
 |
We enjoy being together and care for the heartfelt contact with our dogs. It is also to mention that we keep in good shape as the dogs need their daily exercise. A welcome side action. |
Meanwhile a life without this beautiful Akita has become unthinkable. Sometimes the upbringing gets a bit stressful though as they have their obstinacy every now and then.
The Japanese call it pride and dignity. I call it character. The contact with other dogs is important in either case. |
